Opportunity Kenya Ltd is a microfinance institution with
operations in Nairobi, Western, Nyanza and Rift Valley provinces of Kenya, and
is seeking qualified applicants for theData Analystposition.
The Data Analyst shall be located at the Head Office.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accurate
posting and authorization of any documentation processed in the branches
or head office.
- Liaise
with the branch staff to ensure timely resolution and correction of
reported data errors.
- Regular
checks on suspected errors e.g. credit balances, accounts overdrafts.
- Verification
of documentation required to post transactions in the system as per
policy.
- Maintain
up to date data in the system and report back to DPC and/or branches in
cases of obsolete or inaccurate data.
- Preparation
of all support documents and reports (journal vouchers, CRFs) during data
processing.
- Sending
relevant reports to Management and branches on a timely basis as required.
- Filing
all data processing documents in a sequential manner for ease of retrieval
and reference.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma
in Business Administration, Information Technology or CPA 2 sec 3
- At
least 1 year experience in a clerical position with exposure to figures
and computer data entry
- Excellent
computer skills- Excel, Word, Email and internet
- Experience
in using a financial application is an advantage.
