Job Title: Receptionist
Type of Hire: Local
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Salary: KES 35,000 – KES 40,000 per month
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the reception area is clean
and tidy at all times;
- Act as a first contact and
receive, assist and direct organisational visitors to the respective
officials;
- Screen telephone calls, enquiries and
requests and handle them appropriately;
- Receive, sort and distribute mail;
- Respond to incoming email and
faxes;
- Provide answers to routine
enquiries or refer them to the respective personnel;
- Monitor visitor access and
maintain security awareness;
- Facilitate for meetings with
scheduled visitors;
- Order, monitor, maintain and
distribute stationery and consumables;
- Manage office pantry and monitor
usage on a daily basis;
- Manage office automation by
informing the respective department as and when repairs and or maintenance
are due;
- Offering administrative support to
other functions through photocopying and scanning;
- Filing and maintaining the filing
system;
- Payment of utility bills for
senior management as and when required;
- Drafting effective correspondence
as and when required;
- Assist in any other administrative
duties that may be required from time to time; and
- General office procedures.
Qualification:
- Minimum ‘O’ level – C or Division
III
- Diploma in Front Office or
Certificate in Office Practice and Procedures
- Two years experience in similar
position
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Relevant certificates should be
from a recognized institution
