Reporting to: MD
Major 1 year deliverable
To get our current plant in footing, production wise, marketing
and management wise.
Bring in efficient systems and create control mechanisms at the
plant.
Strategize growth and development of the plant.

behalf of the company?

Key objectives in first 90 days
- Understanding
the various functions and the objectives of the functions, presenting to
management the roles and the changes required.
- A plan to get
our products into existing and new markets, using the best marketing and
distribution channels, showing the results to the management.
- Be able to
identify loopholes and controlling factors required in the plant.
- Build
relationships with key people in the various functions and departments we
are dealing with.
- Managing our
current private labels and building on the strategies to maintaining and
satisfying these partners.
Routine responsibilities
- Lead and
supervise all production line staff to ensure production schedules
are met
- Design and
direct the testing and/or control of processing procedures;
- Ensure that the
raw material for food processing meets quality standards and quality in
conjunction with Quality Assurance Officer;
- To inform management
on work progress by generating plant and production output, work reports
and final reports
- Develop and
implement short and long term plans for the production line that align
with the strategic plan of the business
- Supervise that
the plant meets required standards for Safety and health and environmental
standards and other regulatory requirements
- Manage employee
relations with production staff
- Ensure the
production line operates at optimal and manageable capacity to ensure
continued business revenues
- Ensure that the
production equipment is well maintained and service schedules are adhered
to by the technical operators
- Ensure Safety
standards are adhered and maintained
- Oversee stores
operations and safety.
- Liaise with
suppliers and customers
- Product and plant
development
- Any other
assigned duties

Skills, knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
- MBA in Business
management/operations management
- Must have 5-7
years experience in management of processing plant/manufacturing
(preferable agro processing)
- Minimum of 2
years in senior management position
- Good
presentation of reports and strong reasoning
- Good
communication skills
- Good computing
skills – Microsoft office is mandatory
