General Manager, Kenya

With headquarters in vibrant Nairobi, your role would be to
manage a fast-growing team of 25 people.
With a focus on digital classifieds, e-Commerce and content, you’d be responsible to ensure the organisational efficiency of the named activities.
You’ll build your own team and ensure that day-to-day operations
run smoothly as well as driving the strategic direction of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Starting and
managing strategic partnerships in the ICT and commerce sector
- Managing partner
and supplier relationships
- Improving sales
HR Management
- Managing an
existing team of 25
- Recruitment and
contracting of company and project staff
- Employee
development, and training
- Policy
development and documentation
- Employee
relations
- Performance
management and improvement systems
- Employment and
compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
Financial Management
- Contribute to
revenue generation
- Oversee
preparation of budgets
- Tracking
progress vs. target
- Optimising local
sales and customer service
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of
experience in managing teams
- Sales or Account
Management Experience
- Excellent
analytical skills
- Excellent communication
and written skills
- Good network
within Kenya
- Ability to work
in small teams and deliver on tight deadlines
- Fast learner,
ability to adapt quickly to new environments
- Team fit with a
young and dynamic group of people
