Our client, an International manufacturer of cutting edge fine melamine Homeware and high quality Travelware is seeking to recruit a Warehouse Manager cum Accountant to be based in Nairobi.

We are specifically looking for candidates with warehouse management experience in either retail or manufacturing sector. 

The ideal candidate should also have good accounting as he/she will be in charge of Billing, Account Receivables and Account Payables.
    
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage warehouse and distribution of goods according to company policies and procedures
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system, ensuring merchandise accuracy at all levels
  • Oversee the dispatch and distribution of goods to retail stores to ensure optimum stock levels at store level in line with retail sales targets.
  • Ensure that vehicles, machinery and equipment are maintained and implement plans to ensure optimum use of resources at all times.
  • Prepare billing information and dispatch goods according to company procedures
  • Manage Account Receivables, Account Payables as well as account reconciliation
  • Follow up debtors and oversee banking as per company policy
Skills and Experience
  • Good numeracy and IT skills (Microsoft Office, and warehouse database systems), particularly spreadsheets and databases,
  • The ability to plan and organize work schedules
  • A calm, level-headed approach  with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good decision-making skills
  • A minimum of five years retail warehouse experience with distribution/logistics oversight, gained in a professional retail environment.
