Lake Basin Development Company Limited is the commercial wing of Lake Basin Development Authority which is a Regional Development Authority mandated to spearhead Development within the Lake Victoria Basin and its catchment regions, with a view of “fostering sustainable development and empowerment of the communities”.
Finance Manager
The successful candidate will be the Head of Finance Department reporting to the General Manager.
The job is initially on a three year contract, renewable, with
an option of PP upon satisfactory performance.
Job Summary
The Job holder will be responsible for the planning, developing and evaluating financial policies, procedures, practices and systems as well as budgeting and financial resources control.
Key Responsibilities
·
Formulating and implementing financial and accounting policies
and procedures
·
Preparing financial reports and ensuring that management
information is accurate, adequate and reliable for decision making
·
Maintaining assets registers
·
Co-ordinate budgeting and budgeting control procedure, managing
recurrent and capital expenditure and preparing, analyzing and interpreting
various reports
·
Ensure tax compliance and timely statutory returns
·
Provide the leadership to Finance team so as to achieve the
Company’s goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Competencies
·
Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting
or a Business related field from a recognized University and full accounting
qualifications (CPA,ACCA,ACA or an equivalent qualification).
·
Must be a member of a professional body (ICPAK)/ ACCA of good
standing
·
Demonstrate Knowledge of IFRS & IAS, finance, accounting,
audit, budgeting, and cost control principles and Working knowledge of ERP
Financial module
·
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports,
statements and projections
·
At least ten (7) years relevant experience in a reputable
organization, three (3) of which must have served as head of finance function
·
Experience in manufacturing environment
·
Leadership and Negotiation skills
·
Strong interpersonal relations and demonstrate ability to build
cohesive teams and achieve set targets through team work
·
Computer proficiency with excellent Excel, Word and Accounting
skills
·
Ethical, honest and trustworthy
Sales & Marketing Manager
The successful candidate will be the Head of Sales and Marketing Department reporting to the General Manager.
The job is initially on a three year contract, renewable, with
an option of PP upon satisfactory performance.
Job Summary
·
To provide direction in achieving corporate sales objectives by
planning and directing all sales and marketing activities ensuring
profitability and increased market share.
·
Key Responsibilities:
·
Formulate and implement sales and marketing policies and
procedures
·
Build & manage key business accounts
·
Develop a network of clients
·
Develop and manage implementation of work plans
·
Provide leadership to the marketing team and ensure marketing
support to clients
·
Determine strategic importance and manage execution of sales
leads
·
Initiate market surveys, and manage customer satisfaction
·
Determine and meet monthly sales targets as agreed with
management
Qualification and Competencies
·
Have a Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Commerce with
Sales/Marketing option
·
Minimum of 7 years professional experience, 3 of which as head
of Sales and Marketing function
·
Good communication and negotiation skills
·
Demonstrate initiative and innovative approach to work
·
Result oriented and self-motivated
·
Strong interpersonal relations and demonstrate ability to build
cohesive teams and achieve set targets through team work
·
Computer proficiency
·
Ethical, honest and trustworthy
