Kenya Airports Authority is seeking to recruit a SAP ERP ABAP Programmerto support the SAP ECC
6.0 ERP system.
The ABAP programmer will be primarily measured on the ability to
meet service level objectives and agreements, as well as, contributions to
improvement in IT service, and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide
support, maintenance and enhancements of ERP system.
- To
provide systems analysis, design and programming services for ERP
applications
- Be
responsible for the following in IT related projects:-
- Systems
Requirements Specification
- System
Design Specification
- Program
Specification and development
- Develop
system test scenarios and test data for user acceptance testing
- System
Documentation Specifications
- User
Guides Specifications
- Responsible
for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs for internal
functional areas including human capital management, finance, order to
cash and procure to pay among others.
- Responsible
for programming of complex business scenarios with RICEFW objects in all
the SAP Business modules.
- Able
to coordinate with the business analysts and ensure proper and effective
integration of business process and procedures into SAP solutions.
- Able
to work independently and effectively by documenting programs and
providing necessary system user training.
- Perform
complex Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) programming,
testing, debugging applications related to the implementation of various
SAP business Solutions like SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP XI, SAP CRM
- Participates,
as needed, in coordination and implementation of projects. Including
testing new systems to ensure compatibility with business applications
- Works
closely with the Data center Team Lead to coordinate the implementation
and ongoing support of ERP systems physically hosted at the Data centers
or other server room • Ensures the effective implementation and
maintenance of KAA Quality Management System
- Ensure
the integrity and security of the ERP system is maintained with all
changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University
degree in IT or related field.
- Minimum
of 3 years experience in ABAP programming
- ABAP
certification
- Experience
in using SAP Solution Manager for business process documentation
- Exposure
on Unix/Linux and database (ORACLE).
- Experience
in ASAP methodology project phases (blueprint, design, realization,
testing, implementation, support) with at least 3 project implementations.
- Must
have good knowledge of SAP system landscape and the role played by various
systems, clients and transport mechanism in the landscape
- ABAP
Technical development in functional areas of SAP SD, FI, HCM, MM,
- ABAP
development in Reports, Interactive Reports, ALV, OO ALV, Module Pool,
Function Modules/BAPI/RFC, SAP Script, Smart Forms, ABAP Objects, BADI,
BDC, User Exits, OO ABAP, Enhancement Workbench
- Knowledge
of Workflow development and customization

SAP ERP Database Administrator.
The primary role will be to oversee the day to day operations,
security and management of the authority’s databases, including the enterprise
databases and more importantly the ERP databases to ensure uninterrupted
business operations..
Main Responsibilities
- Provides
operational database support
- Provides
support services to monitor, backup, and diagnose the Authority’s
databases; recommends corrective action to database failures
- Provides
On-call support (24x7) to assist with troubleshooting, escalation, or
recovery of failing databases
- Participates,
as needed, in coordination and implementation of projects. Including the
design and configuration of databases for new projects or upgrades, as
well as Testing new systems to ensure compatibility with business
applications
- Develops
and maintains procedures for database configuration support
- Works
closely with the Data center Team Lead to coordinate the implementation
and ongoing support of databases physically hosted at the Data centers or
other server room
- Interfaces
directly with a wide variety of end users and technical counterparts in
other business units
- Coordinates
the training of end users on various system databases where necessary
- Maintain
database availability and integrity to meet customer SLA
- Report
and follow up on vendor problem resolution to ensure compliance to Service
Level Agreements (SLA) and contracts.
- Ensures
the effective implementation and maintenance of KAA Quality Management
System
- Database
Performance Tuning/Management
- Database
Security Planning and Configuration
- Define
and ensure integrity of the backups and restoreprocesses in accordance
with the disaster recovery policy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University
degree in IT or related field
- Minimum
of 3 years experience in Database administration
- Certified
Database administrator
- Basic
hardware knowledge
- Exposure
on Unix/Linux and database (ORACLE).
- Excellent
PL/SQL Programming expertise, Experience as DBA on ORACLE 11g,
