Supervised by: Technical Manager / Human Resources Officer
Job description
To assemble, install, commission, maintain service, repair and modify all type of equipments and develop Service department to greater heights.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Servicing,
installation and repairs of all types of laboratory and scientific
equipment
- Organizing and
safeguarding of all workshop equipment and tools
- Maintenance of
all manuals, service reports and workshop records
- Sourcing of
spares parts required during repairs.
- Keeping workshop
records on a daily basis
- Attend and
contribute in all safety meeting with employees
- Advice the
management on workshop needs for its proper running.
- Fill details of
all repairs /service in the completed Jobs report book and make sure
invoicing has been done.
- Listen and
report in writing all customers complains on products to HR Department or
Technical Manager and follow up until complains are fully addressed.
- Prepare and
submit: daily reports on the work done, weekly reports on the work
completed and pending, monthly work analysis and target report
- Test electronics
units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate
performance and determine need for adjustment
- Identify and
resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field
representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.
- Maintain system
logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
- Translate a
written product description into a set of electrical drawings capable of
performing the functions defined in the product description.
- Other duties
that may be assigned by the technical manager
Requirements
- A diploma in
electronic engineering or instrumentation
- At-least two
years of experience in a similar field
- Good knowledge
of Laboratory equipment such as Spectrophotometer, HPLC and Gas
chromatography and X-ray machines
- Must have people
skills; both to work in a team of employees and to build relationships
with outside contacts.
