Private Wealth Manager Job in Nairobi Kenya


A leading international company in the insurance and asset management business arena with great market diversification and over 17 affiliates; providing long term savings, investment, protection and insurance products is looking to find a Private Wealth Manager to manage their fixed income portfolio. 

The Private Wealth Manager will report to the Executive Director. 

Purpose of the role 

This role is accountable for formulating, revising and implementing investment strategies through Portfolio Managers and/or in a defined area. 

The individually is accountable for achieving results through own efforts over periods of 3 months to a year. 

Key outputs
  • Acquiring new and managing existing high net worth Wealth Management clients/accounts in order to maximize sales, to develop prospect relationships, and to enhance/grow/retain client relationships;
  • Contribute to the improvement in profitability of the business through undertaking effective individual reviews and identifying opportunities for referral activity
  • Providing recommendations to improve business continuity process
  • Maintain relationships with Royal Skandia for purposes of product development and training

Investment Research

  • Monitors development in security markets.
  • Liaises with tax attorneys or accountants to determine legal consequences of investment decisions.

Minimum requirements
  • Business related degree.
  • MBA would be an added advantage
  • 3 to 5 years of similar experience within the financial markets preferably within a Private Wealth division in a large bank or investment company with emphasis given to experience in relationship sales.
