Affairs Manager
National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the above vacant position.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the jobholder shall be responsible for the communication between the Board and various publics, including that relating to the Board’s products and technologies as well as its corporate values.
Duties and Responsibilities
The job holder shall:
- Coordinate the
establishment and maintenance of a correct image of the organisation, its
policies, products and people
- Oversee
monitoring of outside opinion about the Board, and convey this
intelligence to management
- Lead provision
of information to various publics about the Board’s policies, activities,
products and people with a view to imparting maximum knowledge and
understanding.
- Implement
proactive public relations strategies and liaise with the media to enhance
the Board’s corporate image
- Oversee internal
and external corporate events, PR activities and manage stakeholder
relations
- Manage the
organisation’s external agency, commissioning and oversee the drafting and
editing of all internal and external media releases
- Identify and
coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and
community-based programmes
- Advise
management on communication problems, solutions and techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors Degree
in Communications or a related field plus a Post-graduate diploma in
communciations or a related field
- Minimum of 10
years working experience; three of which should be in a similar or other
senior posiiton (s) in Public Relations Departement
- Proficiency in
Computer Applications Packages
