Christian Health Association of Kenya, a national faith based
organization committed to promoting access to quality health care is seeking a
suitable candidate for the following position for a CDC-funded comprehensive
HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment Project in selected faith based affiliated sites in
Central,
Eastern, Coast and Nairobi regions:

Position: Clinical Coordinator (Medical
Doctor - Physician/Paediatrician)
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Lead
the development, implementation and evaluation of the HIV care , treatment
and support strategy
- Assist
CHAK and its partners in the assessment, development, improvement and
dissemination of sound HIV/AIDS care protocols and strategies
- Provide
support to implementing sites on comprehensive HIV care and treatment
issues
- Facilitate
capacity building through CMEs
- Analyze,
synthesize and disseminate cutting edge methodologies, lessons learned and
best practices to partners regarding comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and their
application to policies and programs.
- Promote
information exchange with partners, NASCOP, faith based institutions and
other networks about effective program implementation practices and
lessons learned
Desired Skills:
- Technical
expertise and experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and
support
- Demonstrated
organizational, training and facilitation skills including clinical
mentorship
- Demonstrated
knowledge of USG/PEPFAR results reporting requirements
- Excellent
communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a team player
Education and Experience:
- Professional
advanced medical degree, MMed (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Family
Medicine)
- Minimum
of 2 years experience in HIV&AIDS programmes or clinical work
- Computer
skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
