A position of a Business Development Manager Has come up.

The function of Business Development Manager is to develop and generate new business opportunities. The main responsibility is to manage, support, and supervise the business development department. This department is responsible for the acquisition of new projects and project bids.

  • Accelerating Sub-saharan business development
  • Strengthening local presence and ensure business focus
  • Diversifying current go-to-market approach through partnerships.
Responsibilities
  • Identify industry trends & business potentials for the organization in construction and home + personal care
  • Translate them into business opportunities and support realisation
  • Provide market intelligence by establishment of exchange platforms and networks
  • Exchange best practices with other territories and department
  • Work  in close cooperation with local distribution partners
  • Establish external contacts with decision makers in identified industries, companies, government and non-government bodies, associations or institutions
  • Build and strengthen network with established distributors in Ethiopia
  • Identify alternative go-to-market concepts

  • Initiate marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market
  • Clarify goals and reach agreement maintaining the interests of all parties
  • Proactively develops and improve products and services
  • Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues
  • Understands clients' needs
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and clients
Qualifications and Experience
  • Over 10 years experience in business development department
  • Should be a degree holder in marketing or relevant disciplines
  • Proven sales record
  • Strong track record in people management &/ or commercial roles within a consumers goods environment.
  • In-depth of knowledge of and the ability to coach others structured selling capabilities and tools.
Suitable candidate should be willing work in Ethiopia.
