Doctors /Consultants
Duties
- Respond to
medical/health issues of the patients which include diagnosis,
investigation, treatment and referrals.
- Provide coverage
of rounds in the medical wards.
- Keep up with new
medical developments, this include new drugs, treatment methods.
- Promote health
education with other health workers.
- Review,
implementation and management of infection control policies.
- Participate in
medical training and research as at when need arises.
- Train, observe
and assess trainee general practitioners and medical students.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a
Degree in Medicine
- Be registered by
the medical practitioners and dentist board.
- In possession of
a valid retention certificate by the medical practitioners and dentist
board and 5 years in a busy hospital.
Pharmacist
Duties
- Dispensation of
medication prescribed by the doctor or the clinical officer.
- Ordering and
monitoring of drug dispensation.
- Proper
documentation of prescriptions.
- Formal and
informal training of other health personnel.
- Monitoring,
training and evaluating of pharmaceutical assistant.
Qualifications:
- Degree in
pharmacy is registered by the pharmacy and poisons board and 2 years in a
busy hospital.
Morgue Manager
Main Duties
- Keeping records
identifying information for morgue files.
- Preparing bodies
for post mortem and viewing
- Mixing
preservative fluids according to the required formulas.
- Releasing bodies
to authorized persons.
- Oversee
completion of histology, toxicology and autopsy reports.
- Washing tables,
storage trays and post-mortem instruments
Education
- O level and
worked work experience of 2 years.
