To Carry Out An Operation Quality Control Review In The East And
Horn Of Africa Regional Office

In July 2010, the United Nations General Assembly created UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, to accelerate the UN’s goals on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
This was part of the UN reform agenda that brought together the
resources and mandates of four organizations for greater impact.
UN Women East and Horn of Africa regional office ¡s preparing country and regional offices for a future audit; and to support the country offices to prepare for their own delegation of authority which is imminent.
As such, EHARO is seeking the services of a consultant to carry
out a review of audit preparedness.
Outputs:
- Assessment
on level of compliancy pre- and post assignment as per the audit check-list
- One
regional and seven country action plans (time bound with an indication of
responsible personnel for each action point)
- Record
of minutes for all meetings held
- Knowledge
transfer of systems and procedures to key personnel
- Accomplishments
achieved in implementation of the action plan.
Education:
- Holder
of at least Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration,
Public Administration, Finance, Economics or related field
Experience:
- At
least five years of demonstrable experience in conducting audits.
- Knowledge
of UN systems, particularly UNDP and/or UN Women
- Previous
work experience in a similar position will be an added advantage
- Good
computer user skills and capability to produce documents with high quality
layout.
