Floralife Technical Sales Representative

Company Profile: Our client is involved in Floral Packaging from Africa to the Rest of the World
- Physical
presence at given farms to give direction and technical lead to the
post-harvest crew.
- Introduce,
demonstrate and promote all current and new products to farms
- Conduct
product and system training programs for individual and groups of farms
- Maximize
market penetration in assigned territory
- Evaluate
competitive situations and recommend appropriate techniques in mitigation
- Implement
pricing policies to growers in liaison with Technical Manager
- Execute
grower-level product promotion programs
- Coordination
of intelligence gathering with Regional Sales Manager and
- Submit
weekly and monthly report summarizing Floralife performance and
- Competition
activity
- Update
and maintain existing client and trade reference mailing lists,
asperiodically required
- Complete
follow-up on inquiries and leads forwarded from colleagues in the broader
Floralife/ Smithers Oasis fraternity or from other avenues
- Investigate,
document and report all complaints and claims for service interritory and
coordinate same with Technical Service Division
- Attend
periodical Sales Meeting, and annual trade fairs as needs calls for and as
directed by Technical Manager
- Other
directly related appropriate duties as assigned
To achieve the above you will be required to:
- Maintain
a valid driver’s license, current comprehensive insurance and a good
driving record on the mode of transport agreed upon by the company
- Continuously
improve on your technical report writing and presentation skills and
abilities by enrolling in personal improvement programs agreed upon with
your immediate supervisor
- Full
compliance to Floralife code of conduct and ethics.
Desired Qualifications:
- The
person should be a graduate in Horticulture (preferably), Agronomy,
Biochemistry, Food Science or related life science (at least Upper second
division)
- The
person must have excellent writing skills and be fluent in the spoken
English
- Knowledge
of the Kenya horticulture industry an added advantage
- Experience
of at least 2 years in the floriculture industry
- Excellent
interpersonal skills
- Highest
level of integrity
- Ability
to travel and work with a diverse group of people in a fast paced
environment and adapt to changing needs of the industry
- Strong
analytical skills
- A
clean driving license
