Quantity Surveyor
Job Purpose:
Prepares preliminary estimates for procurement of goods and services and analyses costs for use in contractual claims analysis.
Main Responsibilities
- Measuring and
taking out quantities from drawings to prepare Bills of Quantities
- Measuring of
spot items to enable preparation of Bills of Quantities for
rehabilitation/refurbishment works
- Preparation of
Estimates for construction works
- Preparation of
Tender and Contract Documents
- Measuring and
preparation of Valuations/Payment Certificates for work done
- Preparation of
Financial Appraisals for projects
- Attendance of
Site Meetings
- Preparation of
Final Accounts for projects completed
- Ensures
maintenance and improvement of KAA QMS
Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor
of Arts (Building Economics)/Quantity Surveying
- Experience: At
least 1 yr post-university experience
- Others:
Knowledge of various forms of contract especially PPOA will be an added
advantage
