The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is
inviting applications for temporary positions of Presiding Officers (POs),
Deputy Presiding Officers (DPOs) and Polling Clerks in the forthcoming Parliamentary
and Civic by elections in the following electoral areas on Monday 17th
September 2012:
2. Kangema Constituency
3. Ndhiwa Constituency
4. Waithaka Ward in Dagoretti Constituency
5. Kaliangombe Ward in Kaloleni Constituency
6. Nana Ward in Moyale Constituency
7. Mumbuni North Ward in Machakos Town Constituency
8. Kalimani/Matinya/Mutulu ward in Kitui West Constituency
9. Mutira Ward in Kirinyaga Central Constituency
10. Ikinu Ward in Githunguri Constituency
11. Kapkoi and Kaptega Wards in Kwanza Constituency
12. Market Ward in Eldoret North Constituency
13. Bukura Ward in Lurambi Constituency
14. East Kadem Ward in Nyatike Constituency
15. Nyaramba/Nyangoge Ward in North Mugirango Borabu Constituency
16. Wire Hill/Migwa Ward and Wang’chieng Wards in Kasipul
Kabondo Constituency

Job Requirements
a) Presiding and Deputy Presiding Officers
- Be
a Kenyan citizen of high integrity and be non partisan
- Be
holders of Degree/ Diploma certificates from recognized institutions
- Be
computer literate,
- Effective
communication and report writing skills
- Must
be available for the entire period of the By Election
- Age:
25 to 45 years
- Must
be residents in the constituency in which they apply for and must quote
the constituency on the application letter/envelope or iebc application
form.
b) Polling Clerks
- Be
a Kenyan citizen of high integrity
- KCSE
– Aggregate C- or Division III and Above
- Age:
21 years to 35 years
- Must
be of good character and non partisan
- Must
be a resident of the polling station applied for
- Must
be available the entire period of the By Election
- Applicants
for the position of Polling Clerk/Counting Clerk must be residents of the
polling center applied for and must quote the polling station on the
application letter and envelope
Applicants who strictly meet the above requirements may send a
hand written application enclosing detailed CV, copies of ID, academic and
professional certificates, testimonials and day time telephone contact; clearly
indicating position applied for, Constituency and nearest polling station in
the application.

countrywide.
