Role Purpose:
Role Purpose:
To integrate and institutionalize best practices of planning and organising, acquiring and implementing, delivering and supporting and monitoring company’s IT performance to ensure the company’s information and related technology supports the business objectives whilst maintaining optimal system efficiency and reliability. The role will report to the Group CEO.
- Develop and
implement a comprehensive ICT strategy, policy, guidelines and procedures
that will lead to improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of business
operations.
- Ensure ICT
projects management through co-ordination of development, acquisition and
deployment of ICT systems and infrastructure within the company, ensuring
that they are of high standards.
- Provide
professional advice and guidance to management in the acquisition of ICT
resources both software and hardware.
- Provide
leadership and steer the operation and running of ICT resources ensuring
high levels of systems availability, reliability and security.
- Spearhead
and ensure adequate business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure
compliance on ICT related licenses and legislation.
- Oversee the
day to day running of the ICT department including supervision of staff,
training and motivation.
- Ensure
safety of the total company’s ICT assets.
- Plan and
manage the ICT budget.
Qualifications and skills
- A degree in
Information Technology
- Professional
Qualifications such as Microsoft Certified IT Professional, CISCO or
equivalent.
- Holders of
Masters in ICT or MBA will have an added advantage.
- 5 years
experience in leadership of ICT teams.
- Hands on
experience of SAP databases.
- Up to date
knowledge of IT risks, security solutions, disaster recovery and business
continuity.
- Up to date
on current ICT trends.
- Cost
conscious
- Superior
people and project management skills with strong analytical and organizing
skills.
- Ability to
work independently
- Highly
motivated and self driven
