Senior Administration Officer Job in Kenya


The Insurance Regulatory Authority is a state Corporation set up to regulate, supervise and develop the insurance sector in Kenya.
The Authority is seeking applications for the following vacant position:
Senior Administration Officer
Reporting to the Human Capital Development & Administration Manager the officer will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support services in the Authority.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
·         Manage the allocation of office space, lease agreements, and ensure availability of office equipment, furniture and working materials to every member of staff.
·         Manage office facilities, repair and maintenance of the office equipment and machinery.
·         Manage the office transport system, supervision of drivers in accordance with the set policies and procedures.
·         Manage the filing, storage and security of documents as per policy.
·         Manage out-sourced services and contracts; supervise the provision of services as per the service level agreements.
·         Manage all insurance contracts and ensure that insurance policies are in place at all times.
·         Maintain and keep records of all assets acquired by the Authority.
·         Manage the delivery and distribution of mail to all stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience for the Job
·         At least a Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, Arts or Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized University. Masters degree would be an added advantage
·         At least 10 years post-graduation experience as an office administrator and at least 5 years at a senior level.
·         Experience in the public sector would be an added advantage
·         Proficiency in the use of ICT
·         High level oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
·         Sound negotiation skills and high level of integrity.
·         Ability to problem solve and prioritize office issues
·         Flexible working attitude and ability to work within program timelines
