Management Sciences for

MSH seeks to recruit a
highly motivated and result oriented individual to join a dynamic team as a Senior Program Associate, Management Information
Systems (MIS) in our Health Commodities & Services Management (HCSM)
Program.
The Program is working in
Kenya to strengthen systems for commodity management, pharmaceutical and
laboratory policy and services.
- The
incumbent will lead the cross-functional project team in the evolution and
delivery of HCSM’s portfolio of MIS solutions.
- S/he will be
responsible for all aspects of product/solution definition to solution
implementation, including stakeholders buy-in and presentation of the
solutions to users and donors.
- S/he will be
based in Nairobi with approximately 30% local travel.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Developing
and supporting in implementation of HCSM’s MIS strategic
plan, - Developing
and maintaining expert knowledge of HCSM’s MIS tools, processes,
infrastructure and resources,
- Developing
and maintaining deep technical and architectural aspects of the Web based
reporting systems at points of interface with users and processes, data
and technology.
- Developing,
implementing, managing, and supporting system implementations, special
projects and activities and coordinating all HCSM MIS personnel and
managing vendors.
The ideal candidate
- Should have
a Bachelor of Science/Administration in Computer Science, MIS or related
field. - S/he should
have at least 5 years relevant working experience preferably using
internet technologies
for web based application development of which 3 years experience should be in managing custom and off-the-shelf software integration and implementation projects. - In addition,
s/he should have professional
- certification
in system development and project management, functional knowledge of PHP
and MS SQL.
- Knowledge of
Public Health Systems in Kenya will be an added advantage.
- The
candidate should be an excellent communicator and team player.
