The main job responsibilities of the Young women’s
Coordinator In Kenya will be:
Planning, Coordination, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects for girls and young women 30 years and below in line with their needs and the organization’s Vision and Mission
Mobilization of Y-teen and youth groups to participate in appropriate activities
Membership recruitment and development for Y-teens and young women
Preparation of project proposals, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Compilation and submission of project progress reports to various Partners and stakeholders.
Developing and organizing youth friendly programmes and
facilitating in trainings for skills development and mentorship for girls and
young women.Planning, Coordination, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects for girls and young women 30 years and below in line with their needs and the organization’s Vision and Mission
Mobilization of Y-teen and youth groups to participate in appropriate activities
Membership recruitment and development for Y-teens and young women
Preparation of project proposals, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Compilation and submission of project progress reports to various Partners and stakeholders.
Coordinate local, regional and international exchange programmes.
Liaising and networking with key stakeholders to promote social and economic empowerment of girls and young women.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Christian woman aged between 25-30 years
Bachelors Degree in Community Development; or Social Sciences/Business Administration with 3 years experience working in the NGO sector or development programmes; Experience in empowerment of girls and young women will be an added advantage.
Computer Literate
Excellent Communication and presentation skills ( Oral and Written)
Must have good knowledge and skills in proposal writing and report writing, negotiation skills, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation
Must have good interpersonal skills and able to create a good rapport with girls and young women
Self driven with ability to work with minimum supervision
Available to do local travel
