A leading International NGO In Kenya dealing with the Rights of
children is looking for a self directed, dynamic and highly motivated person
for the position of a Project officer.
Purpose: The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing “Empowering families to advocate for the Rights of their deaf Children” project in Kwale, Kapsabet and Nyandarua Regions. He/She will participate in needs identification, planning and implementation of project activities,identifying needs related to capacity building of both parents of deaf children support groups and EARC coordinators in the three regions,.The project officer will be responsible for preparing the project monthly reports,participate in monitoring and evaluation of project activities,participate in capacity building activities, field visits and meetings with relevant partners and stakeholders to strengthen networks and partnerships.This position is based in Nairobi with regular travel to the field.

* A minimum of first University degree in Social sciences from a recognised university,a Masters degree will be prefered.
* At least 2 years experience in project management and implementation.
* Strong analytical ability and good communication skills in English and Swahili.
* Proficiency in computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, power point, etc
* Ability to embrace team work.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Experience and Knowledge in Kenyan Sign Language will be an added advantage.
