Free the Children is looking to recruit a Community Nurses to work in their
Health Centre in Maasai Mara.
Job description:
* Plan for and participate in field research related to community health nursing.
* Seek and encourage input from community members, local leadership, and other community health workers in determining health care needs throughout the community.
* Set health care priorities, implement the prevention, health promotion, and other programs identified in the community health nursing plan.
* Assess community health needs using local knowledge and
information, morbidity, mortality, and general health status statistical
information.Job description:
* Plan for and participate in field research related to community health nursing.
* Seek and encourage input from community members, local leadership, and other community health workers in determining health care needs throughout the community.
* Set health care priorities, implement the prevention, health promotion, and other programs identified in the community health nursing plan.
* Deliver approved health care services through planned home visits, clinics, and workshops.
* Counsel parents of infants, preschool, and school children including prevention, normal growth and development, and illness management.
* Knowledge of public health issues in Kenya.

Qualifications:
* Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized College.
* At least 5 years in Community nursing experience.
* Must be Registered by the Nursing council of Kenya
* Must have rural background working with Communities.
