Claims Administrator

Purpose
The claims administrator will be responsible for documenting incidents that may lead to a claim payable by the 
company under its contractual obligations to its customers.
Key Responsibilities

Appointment of assessors.
Accurately ascertain if damaged parts are repairable or must be replaced.
Confirm the Assessor’s recommendations to write-off and have the requisite knowledge of disposing off the salvages.
Handle correspondence with clients and intermediaries.
Handle customer enquiries on the claims process.
Liaising with third party service providers in the claims handling system to ensure that fast and efficient service standards are maintained.
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelors Degree in insurance is desirable.
Diploma in Insurance.
Working experience in motor insurance industry is compulsory.
Must be conversant with names of motor vehicle body parts and the rates for parts and labour
Possess strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
High moral and ethical standards with independence of mind and ability to defend his/her position on significant issues.
