Summary
Charleston Travel Ltd is seeking a Tours Supervisor to provide inbound, outbound and local bookings for 
hotels, tours, transport and packages to clients in a professional and personalized manner and to oversee the operations in the tours department exercising supervision control over the tours team and activities, so as to generate revenues and expand market share while achieving the set targets for the department.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
* Overall supervision of the tours team and activities
* Ensuring effective and efficient performance of the department and that the department meets its set targets
* Keeping regular touch with clients and service providers to ensure timely operations
* Observe and manage all latest developments in the travel and tourism industry regarding new destinations and the rates and inform the management regarding the same
* Preparation of tailor-made itineraries and costing
* Communication with guest/clients through email and phone
* Receiving tour enquiries: Ensure proper and correct information is collected from clients taking note of the requirements and updating on the system.
* Quotations: Providing options and competitive rates to clients
* Follow up: Getting back to clients after providing them with quotations
* Bookings / Reservations and Reconfirmations
* Tour briefing: Providing details to the clients on the services booked, general information and requirements.
* Follow up after the service / de briefing
* Product development
* Preparing weekly and monthly reports
* Selling of other related services e.g. insurance, tickets.
* Responsible for obtaining correct documents, visa fees and advice visa checklist to the customer
* Conduct business with professionalism and giving customers best value for money while maintaining the profit margins required
* Liaise with suppliers to contract for groups, and create blocks with airlines & hotels
* Handling MICE and Group bookings,
* Negotiating rates with tours suppliers.
* Conducting departmental meetings
* Identifying training needs and training and coaching of junior staff in the department
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
* Degree/Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management
* Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Travel & Tourism industry
* Have thorough knowledge of selling outbound and inbound tour destinations
* Online tour selling experience
* Have good knowledge of B2B segments
* Knowledge of sales & operations of tour packages is must
* Handled outbound and inbound business for MICE segment
* Ability to design tour packages and prepare itineraries for clients
* Good product knowledge
* Should have excellent client management skills
* Must be a team player
* Ability to meet individual and team targets
* Ability to forecast, plan, implement and monitor tours team
* Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Possess a lot of drive and passion for the job
