SDV-Transami is the leading logistics company in the region providing an array of products such as sea freight, air freight, road transport, warehousing, international packaging among others.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the position of Customer Service Executive for the SDV U.N account in the packing and removals department in Nairobi.
The candidate will be based in the U.N in Gigiri and report to the Packing and removals Manager.
Specific duties and Requirements
1. Managing the U.N account on Behalf of SDV.
- Liaising with shipping lines and other agencies to follow up on shipments.
- Providing interface services for SDV operations with all U.N agencies.
- Ensuring compliance with U.N rules and regulations in regard to shipping of various goods.
- Ensuring that documents are properly managed and effectively circulated.
- Attending to visitors and clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Coordinating the dispatch of incoming and outgoing telephone calls, e-mails and faxes in a timely manner.
- Performing general office duties e.g ordering of supplies, maintaining records and basic book keeping
Job Specification
1. Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or equal through relevant experience in the freight industry is a MUST-(at least 2 years experience)
2. Experience Sea imports will be an added advantage
3. Excellent command of the English language is a MUST
4. Computer skills (MS Word,/Excel, Internet/e-mail)
5. Customer service skills
6. Basic insight in administration and finance
