My client, Generic Energy, a new Kenyan company in the renewable energy sector would like to fill the job of Technical Engineer which will be based in Nairobi Kenya. The job holder will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Engineer Job Profile

Duties and Responsibilities
Organizing site visits with clients before commissioning of projects.
Planning and design of power back up systems, solar heating and solar water heating devices.
Installation of power back up systems, solar heating and solar water heating panels.
Maintenance of systems at clients’ premises.
Liaising with the Chief Executive Officer in developing new products.

Person Specifications

Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Two years relevant experience in the renewable energy sector.

Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and internet use.
Should have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be honest, hard working, energetic and ready to work outside normal working hours to meet work demands.
Should be willingly to travel extensively within the country.

Terms of Employment

This is a permanent position with a probation period of three months.

Remuneration

A gross pay of between Ksh. 25,000 to 40,000 will be offered to the successful candidate based on their knowledge and experience.
