SIL Africa Assistant Accountant Jobs in Kenya.

SIL (Nairobi Kenya) supports the work of Bible translation and literacy programs across Eastern Africa. We are looking for a an accounts assistant  motivated person to serve within our Regional Accounting Services Department as an Assistant Accountant.

Responsibilities of this accountant job include:
Producing monthly accounts and reports
Maintaining accounting systems
Monitoring of accounts, ensuring compliance with SIL Accounting practices
Giving technical advice to finance staff in the countries that we serve

The assistant accountant candidate should possess:

CPA Kenya  Part 2 Section IV or equivalent
A teachable servant heart
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good command of English. (Command of written French an advantage)

Administrative skills and ability to organize their work
Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-national team
A desire to see God’s Word made available to people in their mother tongue
Technical knowledge required for this position:
Must have a good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and Word

Experience with an accounting software package

Minimum of 2 years working in an accounting position
