The Kenya Wildlife Service is a State Corporation, whose responsibility is to manage and conserve wildlife in Kenya.

The Service seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative and experienced individuals to fill the following positions at its Headquarters and field.

Reporting to the Deputy Director Strategy and Change, the overall responsibility for the successful candidate will be to ensure a positive corporate image.

Duties and Responsibilities

    * Developing and implementing departmental plans in line with the corporate objectives.
    * Liaising with internal and external organizations on public affairs.
    * Establishing networks with stakeholders.
    * Formulating public relations budget proposals and work plans.
    * Advising senior management on public relations strategies.
    * Coordinating protocol and reception of distinguished visitors.
    * Coordinating and supervising production of articles and other information material for various media.
    * Producing, printing and distributing in-house journals, newsletters, corporate and other related publications.
    * Organizing and coordinating public relations activities and events in KWS.

Job Requirements

    * Masters degree in Mass Media and Communication or equivalent
    * Diploma in Public Relations
    * Report writing, communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
    * IT skills.
    * Must be a member of a professional body.
    * Ten (10) years working experience in a similar function.
