Deputy Director Finance and Administration

Reporting to the Director, the overall responsibility for the successful candidate will be to provide strategic direction and guidance in the functions within the Finance and Administration Division: Financial Management, Procurement Management, Administrative Systems and policies in order to attain set corporate objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide leadership, guidance, coordination and direction in the departments within the division
* Responsible for the formulation and implementation of Divisional and Departmental plans in line with corporate objectives
* Ensuring effective management of Financial, Procurement and Administration functions
* Ensuring formulation and implementation of strategies and programs to support implementation of corporate plan
* Coordinating the Service’s investment activities
* Ensuring the preparation of budgets, financial and management accounts
* Interpreting financial reports and providing appropriate advise to Functional Managers
* Ensuring corporate financial viability and
* Ensuring compliance to corporate and statutory financial and administrative requirements
Job Requirements
* Master of Business Administration or equivalent.
* Report writing, communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
* Proven Leadership skills
* Competency in Accounting & Financial Management with CPA(K) is an added advantage
* High Level of Integrity with Ten (10) years working experience as a Function Head.
