Job Duties and Responsibilities:
ACTED is currently looking for an organized, efficient, honest and experienced cook/housekeeper to be based in Nairobi.
Reporting to the Capital Administration/HR Officer her/his specific duties will include:
* Preparing meals and beverages for staff as applicable.
* Ensuring that the guest house supplies for meal preparation are purchased on time through Order Forms in coordination with Capital Admin/HR Officer and Finance

* Moping and dusting the floors and all surfaces
* Keeping the guest house clean and presentable including cleaning of all bedrooms and making the beds and changing bed linen for guests
* Washing and ironing clothes of all Guest House residents and/or guests
* Ensuring that cleaning items are replaced on a timely basis through Order Forms in coordination with Capital Admin/HR Officer and Finance
* Grocery shopping
* Any other duty as may be assigned to you.
Qualifications/Skills Required
* A diploma in food production, catering, housekeeping or any other related field from a recognized institute like Kenya Utalii College, Hospitality and Hotel management Institute etc.
* Must possess great cooking skills
* At least 1 year experience in cooking and housekeeping.
* Good knowledge of cleaning
* Must be able to communicate in fluent English
* Must possess a warm personality, good planning, organizing and interpersonal skills
