Assistant Stock Controller Kenya Jobs.

We are a company located in Nairobi Industrial Area and Kiambu town, in the business of distributing alcoholic beverages. We are currently looking for a suitably qualified person who is immediately available to fill in the position of an Assistant Stock Controller.
Stocks Controller Job Purpose
To assist in the management of the operations of the stores in a manner that ensures the security of stored items, compliance with safety standards and continuous stock taken.
Indicators of Good Performance on the job
* Continuous stock taking i.e. forensic/ adhoc stock take
* Accurate and up to date record keeping
* House keeping and stores layouts i.e. staking beer crates as per the company policy and storing same brand category in one section.
* Reduction in storages, breakages, chip necks and theft cases in stores.
* Frequent vehicle dismantling

Key Job Duties
* Monitor levels of stock items and initiate stock requisitions.
* Reviewing stocking levels in respect to stock items and following up the procurement team to ensure prompt delivery of the required item.
* Maintain regular communication with operational departments i.e. sales and marketing department so as to stay up to date with their material requirements and take necessary re order to avoid stock out situations.
* Maintain good housekeeping and stores layouts that will facilitate easy retrieval within the stores/ warehouse and ensure that that safety and environment standards are maintained at all times.
* Help in ensure that the stores physical structures and equipment are maintained in a good condition and requisition maintenance action as and when needed.
* Assists in identify obsolete and slow moving stock items and recommend the necessary actions, including the disposal of such items
* Ensure that stores records are accurately maintained and up to date and the necessary reports are generated and acted upon.
* Organise the daily and monthly stock taking activities
* Enforce company safety rules and regulations within the stores.
* Ensure that there is proper allocation and utilisation of fuel per vehicle; track of fuel usage must be maintained.
* Any other duty that may be allocated to you by your Supervisors/ seniors and co- workers from time to time.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience For Kenyans
* Diploma or certificate in stores and supplies/ Accounting background: CPA 1
* 1-2 years experience in a FMCG in the same capacity necessary
* Experience from distributorship is an added advantage
