Summary:
Reporting to the Head of sales, the Head of Direct sales/P2P will be responsible for developing the distribution strategy and building up the customer base and delivering the revenue and market share in Kenya. As part of Sales team, will be responsible for the:
* Driving achievement of Gross customer acquisition as per AOP
* Overall responsibility of sales planning, sales projection and sales strategy for the Direct sales/P2P Channels.
* Setting up process for market intelligence, monitoring, analysis and direction to operating sales team.
* Responsible for manpower planning, recruitment and development for the department.
* Team leadership and performance management.
* Management reporting related to the department.
* Carry out assignments and projects as assigned by the Head of sales.

Key responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing business plans and sales strategies for the market and ensuring attainment of the company sales goals and profitability.
• Define and control corporate sales budget and implement.
• Identifying business opportunities and synergy with customers in areas of cooperation
• Coach and manage corporate sales team
• Update on market information and developments, and define the market potential and priorities key area.
• Liaise with marketing department on offers for corporate sales.
• Fostering and building good customer relationships for revenue growth and customer retention.
• Understanding and identifying customer’s ICT/telecommunication needs through in-depth account planning and profiling.
• Understanding and appreciating market trends, competitors’ movements and industry information so as to service customers better.
• Carry out assignments and projects as assigned by the Head of sales
Requirements: • Degree in a Business related field and a Masters in Business Administration/IT.
• Post graduate certification in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage
• 8 to 10 years hands on experience in a Sales and Operations with at least 3-4 yrs in a large team or at management level.
• At least 3yrs in a leadership position in GSM
• Intermediate knowledge of business finance principles.
• Membership in related professional organization.
• Sound sales and Distribution experience.
• Excellent Negotiation/Influencing and Presentation skills
• He/she will be an enthusiastic, rigorous, autonomous, pragmatic and energetic hands-on individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence and motivate employees.
• Has the people skills to develop and retain the high-caliber talent needed to grow a successful company
• Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities and highly results and performance oriented
• Knowledge of customer service principals and customer care experience
• Excellent team player with good Leadership/mentoring/management skills.
