UN WFP Kenya is implementing a programme of supply and installation of institutional energy saving rocket stoves to schools located in different parts of the country. The stoves are required to meet a high quality standard which will include a firegrate/fire box that can withstand high temperatures, fireproof cement and stainless steel where appropriate, for efficient cooking and firewood conservation.
The UN WFP wishes to establish a shortlist of suppliers for the supply and installation of Energy saving stoves. The UN WFP invites qualified suppliers, who are duly registered and authorized, in accordance with the prevailing laws in Kenya to collect registration forms for consideration for shortlist.
The following are the minimum/documentation requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years trading period
2. Copy of VAT certificate
3. Copy of prequalification document
4. Provide company profile
5. Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation
6. Certified copy of trading licences
7. Certified copy of last audited accounts.
Suppliers are requested to send an email to nairobi.procurement@wfp.org and request for a vendor registration form. Email must contain full company contact details.
Prequalification forms must be requested for not later than Friday 6th August 2010 at the above addresses.

The documents should be sent by mail pouch or hand-delivered, so as to reach WFP, Kenya by Friday, 13th August 2010, 4:00 PM. The expression of interest may be followed by an interview, inspection of offices, facilities and other amenities.
