Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Officer to join our team in Lagos.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production facility, ensuring that all products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
A solid background in FMCG manufacturing and prior experience with quality audits such as BRC and Organic Certification is essential.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Implement and monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Prepare for, participate in, and ensure compliance with BRC (British Retail Consortium) and Organic Audit requirements.
Maintain accurate production records, process reports, and compliance documentation.
Identify production bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Ensure all equipment and machinery are maintained and operate safely.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams to uphold product standards.
Monitor inventory levels for raw materials and packaging to avoid production disruptions.
Train and guide production staff to follow best practices in hygiene, safety, and process efficiency.
Requirements
Educational Qualification: B.Sc./HND in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with external audits such as BRC and Organic Certification is mandatory.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Good leadership and team coordination skills.
