Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support day-to-day laboratory operations in Abeokuta.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests, preparing samples, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring accurate data recording. You must be organized, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
Collect, prepare, and analyze samples following standard procedures
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
Record and interpret test data accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Ensure proper labeling and storage of chemicals and samples
Calibrate lab equipment and document performance logs
Follow all health and safety regulations in the lab
Support senior technicians or scientists as needed
Maintain accurate laboratory records and submit daily or weekly reports
Requirements
OND / HND / BSc in Science Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field
Minimum of 1 – 3 years of laboratory experience
Familiarity with lab safety and quality control protocols
Good knowledge of laboratory instruments and diagnostic tools
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel) for reporting
Strong attention to detail and time management
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Attributes:
Previous lab experience in construction, healthcare, manufacturing, or food/agriculture is an advantage
Resident in Abeokuta or willing to relocate.
Remuneration
Salary N120,000 - N150,000 Monthly
Negotiable and competitive, based on qualifications and experience.
