CAFOD, one
of the UK’s leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for
Programme Officer WASH for East Africa.
Working as
part of the East Africa team you will take lead on day to day management of
CAFOD supported WASH programmes and partners.
We are
looking for a highly motivated Programme Officer to support our work in Kenya
and Uganda to alleviate vulnerability, suffering and loss of life, and to
support build partner capacities in order to reduce vulnerability.
Your role: You will be responsible for
building effective working relationships with peers in the International
Development Group (IDG) as well as with colleagues in the Emergency Response
Group (ERG) and Advocacy and Education Group (AEG).
You will manage and develop programmes in line with Regional strategy, manage effective relationships with partners and provide effective financial management and monitoring of programmes to ensure systems compliance.
Your profile: You should be fluent in English with excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills, inter-cultural sensitivity and confidence in dealing with a wide range of NGO partners.
You should
have first-hand experience of institutional funding and donor trends.
Experience using programme cycle management, financial management and able to
work with and develop partner capacities.
