Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts in Kenya/TZ and UG: Balance sheet, Income statement, Cash Flow
  • Responsible for managing Bank and Mpesa Reconciliations
  • Accountable for audit-readiness and reconciliation of daily lending transactions from disparate data sources
  • Build financial planning processes (e.g., Forecast, Budget, Long Range Plan) for several African countries
  • Maintain portions of the financial forecast models, including P&L, cash flow, supporting schedules and analyses
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Support Africa Director and Head of Finance and division heads in understanding ROI of various initiatives
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management and board of directors
  • Manage Internal Audit
Qualifications & Skills
  • A CPA
  • 5+ years’ experience as Manager or Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably at a financial institution
  • Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative
  • Excellent collaborator and team player
  • Deep understanding of successful process implementation and improvement
  • Extremely analytical with expert Excel skills
