The School: GEMS Cambridge International School-Nairobi is a part of GEMS Education, an established education provider and the largest K-12 education company in the world. 

Now in its 4th year of operation, the school offers the National Curriculum for England through the University of Cambridge Primary and Secondary programmes, the IGCSE and Advanced Level examinations as well as EdExcel BTEC vocational qualifications.

From September 2014 the school is now a through-school for students from pre-Foundation Stage to Year 13.
  
The Posts: As with all GEMS schools globally, we are seeking new or experienced professionals who are or who aspire to be outstanding practitioners in the following areas:
1.       Primary
2.       Secondary Science
3.       Physical Education
4.       Secondary English
5.       Director of Boarding
We are looking for individuals who are willing to personalize learning for our students, who believe in the education of the whole child and are sympathetic to the GEMS core values that characterize our schools.

They will be required to participate in, and lead where appropriate, extra-curricular programmes in the
school and assist in planning and organising of school events and functions (e.g. inter-house competitions, concerts, school plays, and award evenings.)

Skills, Experience & Qualifications required:
  • Education/teaching degree OR first degree and teaching qualification/license is essential
  • Degree/qualification related to subject;
  • International experience and ability to teach English National Curriculum required
  • Imaginative teachers with a passion for teaching and learning and a strong subject knowledge
  • More than 1 language is desirable but not essential.
  • For the Director of boarding role, a relevant university degree and previous experience in running a boarding facility in an international school is highly required.
