Africa Limited is looking for a Transport /
Logistics Supervisor, to carry out the following key roles;
Responsibilities
- Supervise
a pool of riders, loaders and drivers for efficient service delivery
- Coordinate
the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of company fleet to ensure
road worthiness at all times
- Coordinate
the fueling and monitor the fuel consumption of company fleet, escalate
any matters arising.
- Coordinate
the vehicle licensure acquisition and timely renewal
- Handle
all logistical issues in relation to vehicle movement
- Assist
in customs clearance for the company’s imports
- Coordinate
and plan of all transport logistics for company related events
- Allocate
vehicle movement to ensure efficient and timely service delivery
- Coordinate
with the marketing/operations team to ensure smooth execution of events
logistics
- Liaise
with subcontracted transport (where necessary) to ensure delivery of
service as per agreed terms
- Develop
work procedures in the transport/logistics department
- Proper
records management – costs, repairs, drivers’ shifts, licenses, and
customs
Qualifications
- Relevant
Business degree,
- 2-3
years’ experience in a transport/logistics department
- Valid
driving license
- Strong
communication and supervisory skills
- Highly
flexible
Work conditions: Frequent
travel within the country
