Summary: Our consultants
should have a strong drive to achieve. They will be at the front end of
most consulting engagements, so they need to be able to explain complex,
technical and sensitive issues in simple, straightforward and intuitive
ways.
Clients
rely on them to take a long-term perspective and to provide the necessary
analyses to back this up.
Consultants
are expected to be decisive when action needs to be taken and to demand
exacting standards from themselves and colleagues.
They also
need outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
The Consultant will be required to abide by the mission of the Armada Careers Brand, which is to recruit, deploy and manage good quality candidates as per client specifications.
Primary Responsibilities
The Consultant will be required to abide by the mission of the Armada Careers Brand, which is to recruit, deploy and manage good quality candidates as per client specifications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure
that the work processes for Armada Careers are clearly understood and
carried out by all staff involved in the recruitment process.
- Remain
in constant contact with the delivery and account management team in order
to update them on the status of a position, candidate or new hire.
- Monitor
the management and use of the recruitment system amongst the team in
support of the Armada Careers Recruitment Process.
- Conduct
executive, temporary, temp hire contract exempt, technical, non-technical
and recruiting support and counsel including sourcing, interviewing
candidates, conducting reference checks, preparing correspondence, and
extending employment offers (in collaboration with HRO).
- Provide
expertise on the regional employment market to ensure competitiveness in
hiring
- Stays
informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be
competitive in the state of the art recruiting practices.
- Work
closely with hiring managers, human resource managers and executive
leadership to participate in planning activities to determine hiring
needs, trends and recruiting strategies.
- Visit
all hiring managers to develop a thorough understanding of the department
culture and use those understandings to help candidates fully understand
the opportunity.
- Use
cost effective recruiting strategies to fill job openings and in the
development of ongoing creative sourcing strategies.
- Develop
an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate
hire as succession planning needs dictate.
- Build
a pipeline of candidates and maintain relationships with qualified
candidates and contacts.
- Review
resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and
knowledge in relation to position requirements.
- Provide
complete, accurate and inspiring information to candidates about the
company and position.
- Interview
all candidates presented for detailed interviewing which includes
face-to-face behavioral based interviewing methodologies.
- Conduct
follow up calls and quality improvement studies with hiring managers.
- Prepare
candidates for interviewing with clients hiring managers by providing
detailed information on the company, their business strategy, department
background, job descriptions and exceptional setting as well as other
interviewing material for the recruitment teams.
- Initiates
and maintains excellent working relations within the client company’s
Human Resource Organization and the account management team.
- Uses
effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping others
informed, appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in
written form, and in a timely manner.
- Participate
in special projects as assigned.
- Attending
Career Fairs at various campuses
- Helping
in facilitating career workshops for Armada Careers.
- Coaching
and mentorship
Qualification Requirements:
The
requirements listed below are a representative of the knowledge, skill and or
ability required.
- Bachelor's
degree in Human Resource Management or related field required with a
minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working as a Recruiter in a human
resources environment; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Requires
experience with and knowledge of all legal aspects of recruitment and
selection, discrimination, equal employment opportunity, harassment,
labour laws and other human resource fields.
- Demonstrates
skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete
information, inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
- Problem
Complexity - Performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of
work; Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols.
Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems;
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving
missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in routine
research/data.
- Autonomy
- Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment; may be
paired with a mentor; Work typically involves regular process checks or
review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
- Able
to analyze issues and scenarios effectively and understand what the
underlying issues are.
- Ability
to sell (new business development and cold sales) and have a successful
track record in recruitment.
- Knowledge
- grasp of professional principles and skills. Knows and effectively uses
fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of
specialization.
- Influence/People
Leadership – strong leadership ability, able to motivate, develop and
motivate others to or junior level support personnel.
- Excellent
communication and listening skills.
- Must
be self-starters and self-motivated.
- A
passion to improve the effectiveness of client organizations.
- Be
able to work with a team & effectively under little supervision.
- High Affinity for Technological advancements in recruitment.
