Job Title: Resilience Programme Manager - Somalia
 
Location: Nairobi with regular travel to Mogadishu and Hargeisa
 
Duration: Two (2) Years
 

Job Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for the Resilience Programme - Building Resilient
Communities in Somalia (BRCiS) as part of larger consortium led by NRC as well as some components of the Mogadishu Integrated Development Programme (MODEL). 


S/he will be responsible for representation of Concern in the Technical Working Group of the consortium and for the overall management of Concern’s component of the programme in addition to overseeing the implementation of the FIM and WASH components of the Mogadishu Integrated Programme, as well as ensuring links with, and where necessary, contributing to, the Somalia/Somaliland Programme’s work on resilience.

Job Specification:
  • A degree in food security, natural resource management, public health, nutrition or related field
  • At least five years’ experience in humanitarian aid in complex and/or insecure environments preferably in East/Horn of Africa
  • Knowledge & experience of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) theory and practice of Resilience and Resilience programming
