Receptionist Job in Nairobi, Kenya (20K -30K)

Our client is a heavy commercial vehicle transport Company with branches across East Africa; they specialize in heavy cargo movement. 

They seek to hire a well-spoken receptionist.
 
Job Purpose: Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone
  • Answer inquiries about company.
  • Answer phones and operate a switchboard.
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
  • Maintains telecommunication system by following instructions for house phone and console operation.
  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of office.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least Diploma in administration or relate field
  • At least 2 years of experience in similar role
  • Computer literate
  • Strong public relations skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Speedy action and proactive
  • Ability to work independently
  • Well spoken and presentable
