We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Assistant Credit Controller. 

The post holders will report to the Senior Credit Controller in the Finance Section and will be based in Nairobi.

Role Purpose: Enforcing and implementing sound and efficient credit control policies while managing receivables and payables in line with agreed credit terms.

Responsibilities
  • Reconciling debtors accounts and sorting of disputes and providing monthly reports for management decisions
  • Collecting, confirming with statements, recording and delivering underwriting debit/ credit notes for all IPS group of companies
  • Printing and dispatching premium debtors’ monthly statements
  • Passing of journal entries related to General business.
  • Processing of commission and other payments related to general business while managing receivable and payables line with agreed credit terms
  • Confirming premium payment position for all clients launching claims or with outstanding claims
  • Accounts opening for new clients
  • Processing of Certificates by Insurer for new and existing agents and Brokers.
  • Processing of Insurance Premium Financing applications.
  • Filling of commissioners returns.
  • Filling of Tax returns to Kenya Revenue Authority and processing of certificates.
  • Participation in monthly credit control meetings
  • Participation in monthly producer meetings, documenting issues raised and liaising with underwriting for immediate resolution of the same.
Qualification and Experience

Academic Qualifications
  • CPA (K) or equivalent
  • Degree in finance or accounting will be added advantage

Relevant Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
