Scholarship
applications are invited from interested Kenyans wishing to study at Japanese
Graduate Schools, Universities, Colleges of Technology and Specialized Training
Colleges from financial year 2015 (April 2015 ~).
Embassy of Japan
will be holding a seminar in the month of May for interested Kenyans to find
out more about the scholarships.
Dates:
(1) Saturday
10th May 2014 Time: 1400hrs to 1600hrs
(2) Wednesday
14th May 2014 Time: 1400hrs to 1600hrs

Research Student
Scholarships to
study for Masters or Doctoral degrees or post-graduate research in Japanese
graduate institutions.
Qualifications
(a) Kenyan born
on or after April 2, 1980
(b) Holder of a
Bachelor’s degree (second class, upper division) or a Master’s degree
Undergraduate Student
Scholarships for
KCSE graduates interested in pursuing undergraduate courses in Japan
Qualifications
(a) Kenyan born
between April 2, 1993 and April 1, 1998
(b) KCSE Mean
Grade “A Plain” and with grades “A Plain”
in at least 4 subjects which must include, Mathematics, and “’A Minus” in English
College of Technology Student
Scholarships for
KCSE graduates interested in pursuing technology and engineering courses in
Japan.
College of
Technology certificates are comparable to non-degree “Higher Diplomas”.
Qualifications
(a) Kenyan born
between April 2, 1993 and April 1, 1998
(b) Minimum of
KCSE Mean Grade “A Minus” with grades “A Minus” in, Mathematics, Physics and
Chemistry and “B Plus” in English
Specialized Training College
Student
Scholarships for
KCSE graduates interested in pursuing professional training courses in Japan.
Professional
Training College certificates are comparable to non-degree “Diplomas”.
Qualifications
(a) Kenyan born
between April 2, 1993 and April 1, 1998
(b) Minimum of
KCSE Mean Grade “B Plain” and with
grades “B Plus” or higher in
Mathematics and “B Plain” in
English
How to Apply
Prospective
applicants should read the details carefully and download FREE application

or pick the forms from Japan Information and Culture Centre situated within the
premises of the Embassy of Japan along Mara Road, Upper Hill in Nairobi.
Documents to be
submitted are listed on the application form.
The form and the
documents may be hand delivered or posted but must be received by the
Scholarships Desk before the deadline: 4:30 pm on Wednesday, June 04, 2014.
Applicants are
advised to apply long before the deadline.
