A leading
company with a large state-of-the-art kitchen wishes to recruit a Unit Chef.
We are currently
looking for a dynamic and self motivated professional who wants to move his/her
career forward.
Your role will include key
responsibilities such as:
- Developing, costing and delivering creative menus for the unit
- Supporting the Purchasing Department and Main Kitchen with re ordering of kitchen equipment, consumables and food
- Maintaining accurate stock and usage records and providing this information to the Unit Manager
- Handling kitchen budgets and record keeping in accordance with Company policies, guidelines and procedures
- Keeping the Unit Manager informed on all related client issues such as special requests, suggestions or complaints

- High level of organization and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to deal with all the difficulties that this role can bring
- Must have high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Individual should have a pleasant personality, flexible, be a self starter with good customer care skills
- Excellent supervisory and coaching skills
Education & Experience
- Diploma in Food Production from a reputable institution
- 5 years of experience at the level of a cook in a three star hotel/club, public and/or private institution or its equivalent.
