Our client in the
Handicraft Industry is hiring a product designer.
The products include
home décor’, interior design and fashion items.
The job
The designer will be
responsible for designing and developing handicraft products as well as
overseeing and supervising the mass production of approved product items.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of Handicraft Products
- Research on tailor-made handicraft products designed for ecotourism
- Create new handicraft designs for production
- Guide a team of designers
- Review craft designs from the team
- Supervise a team of artisans
Requirements
- Experience and talent in Fine art, illustrations
- A good understanding of the handicraft market
- Portfolio of products that have sold
- Ability to work with a team
- Ability to supervise a team of artisans
- An understanding of the import and export market is a good advantage
