Our client, a leading supplier of a wide range of construction equipment, quality industrial and agricultural machinery in East Africa seeks to recruit a Mechanical Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Repairing and servicing all the
agricultural machinery and industrial equipment
- Installation and serving of diesel
generators, electric motors and water pumps (submersible borehole &
surface pumps)
- Making detailed reports on all the
work that is done on each machine
- Ensuring that all parts that need
replacing are available in stock and make orders in advance so as not to
slow the company’s operations
- Working towards improving the
performance of the machine by identifying faulty parts and repairing them
before major problems arise in future
- Keeping an inventory of equipment
required for repairing
- Researching on all the latest
machinery that is available in the market
- Inspecting all the machines and
making reports for the management
Qualification and Experience
- At least a Diploma or a Degree in
Mechanical Engineering or any other related field
- Be well versed with user manuals for
all machines
- Should have an idea of all latest
repair equipments
- Should have a minimum of 1 year of
similar experience.
- Should be proactive, independent,
aggressive and passionate about the client business
- Good interpersonal skills
