vso Jitolee is a
member of the VSO federation based in Nairobi with an East African regional mandate
to promote volunteerism and recruit skilled professionals from Kenya and Uganda
to serve as volunteers in VSO programmes in over 40 countries in Africa, Asia
and the Pacific .In addition we contribute to Kenya’s national development

Logistics and Administration Officer
- In this role,
you will be responsible for providing staff and volunteers efficient
access to cost effective supplies, services and equipment in compliance
with VSO Jitolee’s systems and procedures.
- Working with the
IT Systems Administrator, you will ensure that the IT infrastructure is secure
and operational as required and that management information is easily
accessible and satisfies staff needs.
- This role will
also be responsible for ensuring that facilities management, logistics and
general office administration systems and procedures are efficient and
effective.
- You are a
Bachelor’s degree holder in a related field and have professional
qualification ¡n purchasing and supplies management.
- You have at
least three years relevant experience with evidence of ability to
implement set up systems of procurement and supplies of goods and services
and management to achieve cost effectiveness.
- You are
proficient the use of Microsoft applications.
- You have
excellent communication, problems solving and organizational skills.
- You are open to learning
to improve your own performance and are a person of high integrity.

Information Technology Systems Administrator
As the Information Technology Systems Administrator, your role will involve providing proper maintenance and update of IT software and equipment and liaising with VSO IT staff internationally to provide optimum solutions and support.
In addition to
supporting staff in developing databases for various purposes including donor
reporting, you will provide IT training, advice and support to staff and
volunteers as appropriate to optimize the use of information systems at VSO
Jitolee.
You will also
maintain office security at a high level ensuring that the security systems are
routinely maintained and serviced.
A competent Information Technology Systems Administrator, you will have at least three years experience with adequate knowledge in developing and managing databases and global communication systems as well as an awareness of new technology that may improve delivery of services.
You will have
knowledge and experience ¡n using Windows server 2003 and 2008 and demonstrated
skills in developing and managing systems, software applications and
information systems administration.
Excellent ability in
the use of Microsoft Office applications, capacity to manage knowledge and
resources, team working and ability to influence others will also be key to
this role.

Assistant Accountant
The successful candidate will assist the Accountants at VSO Jitolee in performing day to day financial accounting tasks including, processing payments, filing and document retrieval, providing data for report preparation and data input.
You will have a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, CPA 11 or equivalent professional level. You will have a minimum of three years experience ¡n a busy accounts department. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and SUN accounts.
