Job Title: Shift Manager

Job purpose: Managing production and maintenance processes in the back shift while ensuring maximum utilization of resources to meet set targets and standards
Among others, key accountabilities will include:-
- Managing
all production line operations in back-shift, making sure that products or
product components from every workstation are produced in time, at optimum
cost and meet quality requirements
- Monitoring
all back-shift operations in the plant including Production; Maintenance
and Laboratory to ensure that they stay on schedule through coordination
of any corrective actions
- Responsible
for back shift employee assignments, rotations, employee breaks, and
coverage for absent employees
- Monitoring
shift performance in production, laboratory and maintenance against the
specified targets through shift reports and avail this information for end
users
- Ensuring
compliance to processing standards, correct any deviations and report
variances
- Instilling
discipline among the employees in the shift
- Maintaining
clean and safe plant
- Planning
and conducting shift turn-over meetings
- Motivating
and evaluating shift crew in production, laboratory and maintenance for
highest performance levels
- Managing
provision of security, transport and catering services during the back
shift as per contractual agreements with the service providers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's
degree in engineering or sciences.
- Minimum
of 3-5 years relevant experience
- Strong
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Proven
capability to manage a team
- Results
oriented, team player, customer focus, problem solving skills &
analytical skills
